Welcome to Toronto's prime destination of genre films in the spring!
For the 8th annual Toronto International Spring of Horror & Fantasy Film Festival we had a fun weekend of great movies at the Revue Cinema (April 4-6, 2025). At the end of the festival, our Cleaver the Beaver Awards were given to the best of the best: Best Feature: Lost Angels (Engleb⌀rn) Best Short: The Red Stone (La Piedra Roja) Best Music Video: Release the Hounds Best Animation: The Local Freak - Brick & Murder Best Canadian: Leatherbound Best Direction: Dog People Best Script: The Damnation Best Performance: Norma-Sue Hill - The Damnation Best Ensemble: Help, I'm Alien Pregnant Best Score: The Collected Best Kill: Catch a Killer Best Effects: Suspirium Best Villain: Brisket - Dog People Most Outrageous: Help, I'm Alien Pregnant "Good genre films should be available all year long!" |

TISH beyond 2025
TISH is currently on a short hiatus. We took a break for 2026 seeing as the 1st weekend of April was Easter and we decided to focus on other personal projects instead.
Whether TISH will be back in 2027 remains to be seen. Running a festival in downtown Toronto is an expensive and time consuming task. Right now our resources are a bit scarce, so we'd rather extend the hiatus and be back in full force later rather than make something that could fall below the standards we've set to expect.
However, TISH will be back sooner or later!
